Sr. Construction Supervisor

    Purpose:

    The Senior Construction Supervisor will play a pivotal role in overseeing and ensuring the successful execution of construction projects. This position requires a highly experienced professional with a strong background in project supervision, quality assurance, safety compliance, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams. The Senior Construction Supervisor will ensure that all construction activities meet contractual, regulatory, and company standards while mentoring and leading junior site staff.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Lead and supervise site construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, contract requirements, and approved drawings.
    • Coordinate with Project Management Consultant (PMC) staff to monitor and control overall project quality, safety, progress, and cost objectives.
    • Mentor and oversee the site inspection and supervision team, ensuring all members are fully aware of project quality and safety requirements.
    • Review, comment on, and monitor contractor proposals, site organization, manpower deployment, equipment allocation, and methodology.
    • Conduct regular site inspections and store visits to verify proper handling, storage, and usage of materials and equipment.
    • Participate in progress meetings, technical reviews, and executive meetings; prepare reports, minutes, and recommendations for corrective actions.
    • Assist in assessing contractor change requests, variations, claims, and ensure proper documentation and reporting to management.
    • Oversee commissioning, pre-commissioning, and project close-out activities, including punch lists, as-built drawings, warranties, manuals, and training programs.
    • Ensure proper implementation of quality control processes, inspection plans, and reporting of non-conformities.
    • Advise management on potential risks, delays, or variations that may impact cost, schedule, or project objectives.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
    • Minimum 20 years of overall experience in construction, with at least 15 years of experience in construction supervision, preferably on large-scale projects.
    • Strong knowledge of construction methods, project control, quality assurance, and safety standards.
    • Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary site teams and managing contractors.
    • Excellent understanding of contract administration, site documentation, and reporting.
